Just back from a tour of lavender country in Provence. The fields look no further ahead than ours do this time of year. Lovely to look at even out of bloom.

We saw a sign “lavande a vendre” by a house in Valensole and knocked on the door. Benjamin Demol, a fire fighter, answered the door and spent the next two hours showing us around his family’s two million plant lavender farm. Merci Benjamin!

We’ve had lots of local publicity this past year which means local groups want to know about our lavender project. Here are a few of the friendly faces at a talk I gave tonight for the
. Lots of interesting questions followed by both men and women trying out Ruby Lafant. A few weeks ago I told our story to the Wye Valley Grasslands Association and so regret not having my camera. The farmers worked the creams into their hands with gusto. We plan to have something just for them very soon.
